- About Us
Gordon Enright passed into eternal life on March 15th, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. While 81 seems like a long life, his family will mourn him forever. He is survived by a large Irish Catholic family.
He was a loyal, hardworking man who valued God first, then family and country. He served his country honorably and was discharged after injuries sustained while on duty. Despite serious spinal cord injuries, he worked hard every day to provide for his family. He loved his work as an independent grocery store owner which he co-owned with his father Michael. Later he worked in management for Hy-Vee in the Midwest and for Super Value in the Denver regional area. After his retirement he enjoyed reading and playing in his garden. He was a serious reader. He always had at least three books in the process of being read at any given time. He loved history, religion and the old west and devoured books with great zest. He was active and mentally sharp until he was called home. He always had hope, that through the grace of God, all things would be just fine. He had wit and charm and a kind word for everyone he met. He will be immensely missed.
May the road rise to meet you,
may the wind be ever at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and the rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
