Sharon Ann Davis, 75, of Castle Rock, Colorado, passed away doing what she loved on August 16, 2017.
Wife of the late Biff Davis for 45 years. Was previously married to the late JD Miller, SR. She is survived by her loving companion Paul Svetlik.
Mother of J.D. (Laura Hill) Miller, Jr. and John (Michele) Miller.
Sharon had four grandchildren who she loved dearly including Rachel Ernst and Sean Miller of Casper, WY as well as Kyle and Casey Miller of Highlands Ranch, CO.
Sharon (Sherry) was born July 19,1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Ann (Boyer) Grammer and Homer Grammer. She was the youngest of four children along with older sister Billye (Reading), oldest brother John, and older brother Harold. She is survived by her sister Reading.
Sharon grew up in Tulsa and attended public schools including Burroughs Elementary, Roosevelt Jr. High, and Tulsa Central High School. She had many activities including class president, student director of the orchestra, synchronized swim team, volleyball team, football “spirit team”, roller skating, softball, volleyball, and tennis. She was most proud of her leadership position as Worthy Advisor for the Rainbow Girls as part of the Masonic organization. She also attended the University of Arkansas.
Sharon worked many jobs starting in high school including store clerk at JC Penney’s, oil firm clerk, legal clerk, jewelry store manager, scheduler at North American Aviation.
In 1960 when she was married to JD Miller they moved to Clarksville, TN where he was stationed nearby at Ft. Campbell, KY. They became parents to JD (Jr) and John during this part of her life.
In 1967 she was married to Biff Davis and they moved to Colorado beginning a lifetime of adventure and a love of the Colorado Mountains.
Sharon became a 27-year employee of Littleton Public Schools. After “retirement” she worked as a software trainer so she could travel the country and fund her desire to vacation in the US and around the world.
Sharon loved to spend time with her kids, grandkids, family and friends. She also loved the outdoors and had many interests including skiing, hiking, backpacking, bicycling, shooting and many others!
Celebration of Sharon's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 3737 New Hope Way, Castle Rock, CO 80109.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Sharon's memory be made to Colorado Mountain Club Foundation, 710 10th Street, Suite 200, Golden, CO 80401-5843
