Garry M. Chase, 83, of Parker, CO, formerly of Franktown, CO, received by God in the Kingdom of Heaven on April 29, 2018.
Retired US West.
Garry was born September 6, 1934 in Waterbury, Nebraska to Everett E. and Geneva (Butler) Chase. He married Patricia Mansfield at the Methodist Church in Sheldon, Iowa on July 7, 1957. Garry's hobbies included flying, woodworking, managed the airport in Watkins, Colorado, flew in search and rescue missions, was a Deacon at University View Community Church, supported his wife in her ministry, was on the board of Whispering Pines Homeowners' Association and served on the Planning Board in Parker during Mayor Dean Salsbury's tenure.
Garry is a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War. He was stationed in Alaska (to watch for the Russians) building roads.
Garry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia. Daughters, Marcie Kalinger and Lori Warren; Grandchildren, Scott Kalinger of Louisville, CO, Greg (Sara) Warren of Monument, CO, Christina Kalinger of Salt Lake City, UT, Michael Kalinger of Los Gatos, CA; Brother, Jack Chase of Siloam Springs, AR, Sister, Carol Irwin of Marshalltown, IA. Garry was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Geneva Chase of Sheldon, IA.
A Graveside Service will be held at Franktown Cemetery on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. at Living Water Christian Church, 7049 E. Park Drive in Franktown.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Garry's memory be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
