Serena Lee Garcia, 21 passed away Saturday April 21, 2018, in Colorado, Springs. She was born February 26, 1997, to Dominic and Bobbie Garcia in Santa Fe, NM. Serena moved to Colorado in 2012 with her parents and sisters, Britney Angel 18, and Hailee Rose 15.
Serena attended Mission Viejo and Santa Fe High School before going to Chaparral High School where she graduated in 2015. From there Serena was accepted to the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Serena just completed her CNA and was excited to further her education to become a Pediatric Oncology Nurse. Serena loved music, singing, playing guitar and performing. Her favorite pass time was being with family and loved ones.
She is survived by her Parents and Sisters, Great Grandparents Isabel Garcia, Dwight & Bea Brown and Roberto Montoya Sr. Grandparents Thomas and Sabrina Garcia, Robert and Rose Montoya, 9 Aunts and Uncles Aviana Garcia, Dion Garcia, Angela and Jesse Valdez, Daryl and Jennifer Montoya, April and Roy, Miguel and Gloria Martinez, and seven cousins Mathew Valdez, Alicia Valdez, Consuelo Ortiz, Francisco Ortiz, Dylan, Daryl Montoya Jr., Isaiah Montoya, and Jude Martinez as well as many relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her Great Grandmother Epimenia Montoya, Great Grandfather Jimmy Garcia, Uncle Angelo Garcia, & Great Uncle James Garcia.
Rosary will be held at Ava Maria Catholic Church 9056 E Parker Rd Parker 80138 on Tuesday May 1, 2018 at 6:30 pm. Funeral will also be held at Ave Maria Catholic Church on Wednesday May 2, 2018 at 11:00 am. Followed by burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery at 880 E Wolfensberger Rd Castle Rock, Colorado 80109. Reception to follow at Deep Space 11020 S Pikes Peak Dr. Parker, Colorado 80138 from 2 to 5.
